We’re so grateful you’re here.

We are Aidan and Reilly Jackson and our marriage to each other ignited a spark within us that just had to be born! Committing our lives to each other at the altar was the catalyst and our local forest in beautiful Michigan was the womb in which Altar grew. 

During our wedding ceremony we saw the value of having an altar, a space to hold us during our transition and knew that it was only the beginning. There would be countless transitions, seasons, and changes throughout our life together, because life is movement, or as Octavia E. Butler says in her Parable of the Sower book series, God is Change. 

Our wedding is what held us through our rite of passage so that we could surrender to the change. The change of becoming one, re-orienting ourselves as husband and wife. We felt called to share this experience with others, but knew that the true becoming does not just happen instantly during a one-day ceremony, it evolves through time, during our everyday lives. So, we created Altar- a way to provide frameworks for your whole self to be held constantly throughout your soul’s journey, no matter what phase you’re at in life and with no need for a formal ceremony - although we still offer and advocate for those markings of time.

Altar's offerings are touchstones that provide the structure, so you can flow. We provide tangible items, community events, coaching, and stories. Our hope is that through intentional sourcing, loving guidance, and powerful archetypal structure you will be able to create ceremony in the everyday and flourish through life’s transitions.
